Tree, 25 m x 35 cm. Bark rough, the slash of inner bark red. Buds green tinged with pink at apex, petals greenish white abaxially, white adaxially, the apex sometimes tinged pinkish, the filaments white, the anthers orangish-yellow when fresh. Flowers diurunal, smell like almonds to S. Mori. Abundant fruits collected from ground under tree, no doubt that they come from this tree.
