Undergrowth treelet 12 ft. high, unbranched, pachycaulous, stem - 1" thick, leaves in one terminal rosette, lamina - 2 ft. long, c.30 prs of lateral nerves; cauliflorous with small flower clusters from c. 18" above ground; corolla white, tipped reddish pink outside, calyx white, tipped reddish pink: fruit bright red, pulpy, from trunk. flower in spirit.
