Tree 8 m. x 15 cm.; prop roots 2 -3 m long, fruit cooked in ground over, the core eaten, the seeds eaten or can be stored for a year, leaves used for thatch roof, walls, mats, baskets, rain capes. The wild trees in the bush called ''amokeba''.
