Perennial rosette from short rhizome. Roots dull orange. Massed on shallow soil over rock. Inflorescence always pedunculate before flowering. Corolla lips with a purple blotch on each, otherwise white and with 2 yellow dots in lower throat. Just coming into flower after 1st rains
