Tree, tag number P6987, 61.1 cm diameter, 28 m high. Pods collected on the ground, 12.5-33.5 x 4.8-7.5 cm, 1-5 seeds. Remnants of flowers at base of pods : 2 bracteoles, dry, c. 1cm long. Seedlings : cotyledons light green inside, facing upwards ; dull dark brown outside ; one of the cotyledons is always slimy on the outside, one or both cotyledons are touching the soil

Primary rainforest on well-drained sandy soil, crystalline rocks below and sometimes on the surface
