Branching tree-like vine growing erect for 4 m. with young stems maroon with brown tomentum ; leaves strongly revolute, coriaceous deeply sulcate-nerved above, rich green above, paler rich green below ; peduncle pale yellow green ; calyx and hypanthium pale olive green ; corolla pale creamy yellow
