Monocaulous to sparsely branched treelets to ca. 3 m tall. Leaves dark green above, dark olive green beneath, petiole rachis, petiolules and midvein beneath reddish orange to purple-red. Inflorescence axes medium green, young fruit yellow green in basal half, dark purple in distal half, surface pustulate, disc orangish yellow to yellow green, styles tinged purple. Photo, DNA.
